Light Through Dark

When Panda was ill, I kept on knitting. I ended up with a lace scarf. I didn't think about it at the time, but it was a basicaly black scarf, even if it was all nice and airy. I should have held it up more often and let the light shine through. Panda continues to heal in silence and with no guilt trips. Her hair is coming growing back and soon we won't be able to see the scar. Last night, she and her daughter got into a loud, hissy, paw-batting cat spat. All bettah now?

Frankencat

What an emotional roller coaster we rode through the Holiday Season. Kitty came through surgery just fine only to develop an allergy to the stitches and an infection, which required antibiotics and "wound" drainage twice a day for a week. She actually put up with both processes very well but had definite time limits on our cleaning session with the peroxide. We had to wash her little face, scratch her itches, and clean the cone-collar often. She eventually figured out a way to get beyond the cone and lick part of her tummy. Thankfully, she did not pull out the stitches. Finally, today, she got an almost clean bill of health: stitches out and cone removed. But does she suffer from hyperthyroidism? Sigh!

Thank you to our many kitty-supporters! Your get well wishes and healing thoughts really helped!
