Still here....

Alas! It's been a hard winter. I was felled by repetitive motion injury that makes it very hard to knit! Our safety committee had my workstation evaluated--thank you, job--and I got my desk lowered, a new mouse appeared, chair & monitor were re-adjusted, etc. If I can only remember to maintain my posture in the correct position all should be well. Unfortunately, if I forget, I pay for it with pain up the arm to the shoulder. And it lasts for days. Not quite the wages of sin, but close enough. So, while I haven't been able to stop key boarding at work, I've had to let it go for my personal projects.

The good news is that the arm feels better and I have started knitting again. It's been shawls or wraps on larger size needles and I try to take more breaks. This wrap was something of a surprise. I got the yarn because it was on sale (sorry, the shopaholic impulse is hard to curb), but it knit up into a pretty fancy little number. It's a combination yarn of nylon, mohair, and metallic threads. This one is destined for a silent auction to benefit a scholarship at my job.
