Almost as Good as Being There?

When I made it through the exhibit and out of the gift shop, I was really faint because I really needed to drink water and eat something. DUH! Merely looking at a few still life paintings of food and drink apparently wasn't a good substitute for the real thing. We found a wonderful cafeteria around the corner from the museum, Soup Freaks. BUT, even better than lunch--and it was good!--was the matinee of Midnight in Paris that we caught in order to avoid rush hour traffic home. OMG! It was "almost" as good as being there for any art history/literature devotee. (Well, there is so substitute for Paris, I know.)
How can I knit something that incorporates all this?

What a lovely day! As far as a knitting equivalent...the first thing that springs to mind is Clapotis, or perhaps Sandra McIver's Coat of Many Colors. You are the art buff, though, and will come up with something stunning. :)
The Clapotis! Yes! I'd forgotten about it and I had so wanted to knit one. The time may be at hand.... Thanks for the reminder.
